PRESENTER’S BIOGRAPHY

screen-shot-2014-06-26-at-3-18-15-pmKathryn Dula has been working as an ECE for 13 years. Through her work at Creative Minds she developed a passion for music, movement and the dramatic arts. She believes that children learn through experience and should be provided with opportunity to creatively express themselves. She found that Yoga and Brain Gym are essential learning tools especially for learners like herself who like to learn kinaesthetically. As a yoga practitioner, she feels the benefits of yoga both physically and mentally and how it helps develop self-awareness and community. She deepened her understanding of the practice through a shared yoga and movement experiences with children. Going through these guided movements seems to empower the children to appreciate their bodies and be more mindful and confident in relating with others.
