Yoga for early childhood combines an experiential exploration of the body, mind and the self with the exercise system of yoga poses to support and enhance the health, development and learning of young children. Yoga at this age serves to help children be physically fit, aware of self and others, and to develop coordination and confidence. In this 6 hour workshop the practice of yoga is integrated with playful and age-appropriate physical and mental activities designed to support the whole child and lay a foundation of health on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and social.
