I’m married and a proud mom of a 14 year old girl. I’ve been working and volunteering in the Early Childhood Education field for a few years and I’m glad to study the ECE course with LLIF.  They are helping me to know children better by offering opportunities to learn how to foster the development of young children. I enjoy working with children and helping to foster their development to reach their milestones. They give me the chance to learn everyday as they live within the moment, forgive easily and live their life in full. The delight and curiosity of children in simple things, teaches and reminds us how amazing our world and life is. Children’s wisdom and cheerfulness are wonderful, so I will continue to learn and be inspired by engaging with them.

I am Certified Health Coach and Registered Yoga Teacher. I have over 10 years of experience supporting the physical and mental health of families through work with nonprofits, clinics, schools, and other government institutions.

I have long enjoyed being with and nurturing children. I have worked with them since I was in college – tutoring ESL, doing relief work, teaching children’s yoga and volunteering in a home for street children with HIV/AIDS in Cambodia. I have always felt most fulfilled when in a nurturing role. However, it wasn’t until I had my daughter that I became passionate about working with preschool age children and really experienced the joy of taking care of children.

I am excited to be in LLIF’s ECE program and part of the Creative Minds community.

I’m a mom to 3 gorgeous young boys. For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved being around children, learning from them and mentoring them. I love getting down to their level and seeing the world through their eyes. I love our beautiful Vancouver forests and I hope to bring the appreciation of nature to children in my community.

LLIF has a unique ECE program in that you have hands on experience with Creative Minds Early Learning Center from the very beginning. The learning is respectful of everyone’s backgrounds, thought provoking and well researched.

In my day to day life I am inspired by all types of music.

I was born and raised in Japan. When I moved to Canada I started volunteering with children. I genuinely love and am very passionate working with them. There is nothing more beautiful than a child’s smile or the sound of their laughter. I thank my sister-in-law who introduced me to this world and encouraged me to pursue a career in ECE. Through LLIF I hope to learn more and use my experience to help me achieve my dream career.

I have dreamt of becoming an ECE teacher.  When I was young I liked my preschool teacher who truly loved children. I am a person who also truly loves children and want to be a good influence on them through sharing my love, joy, kindness and happiness.

Through my participation in the LLIF ECE program I would like to learn to see the world through the children’s eyes.  I am learning what true love is for children through my study and I am getting know how to interact with children.

Nature and children always inspire me to be humble. Their presence is refreshing because they are pure.

I am so excited to be working with children and truly feel like I have found what I was meant to do in life.  I really want to help them enjoy their day at when they come to my child care centre.  I feel happy when I am working with them.  The LLIF ECE program is helping me to see the world of children from different perspectives.  I am learning how can I help children to develop their whole being.  The children have inspired me to see beauty in each of them and help me see the beauty in others.  They help me be a better person.

I originally came from Japan. I am living with my husband and my beautiful 5 year old daughter. I used to work as a social worker at non-profit adoption agency in Osaka, Japan. All families and children I taught me “Family is not about blood, it is about who is willing to hold your hand when you need it the most.” Now I am taking LLIF program. I agree with their philosophy for children and like living close to nature. I want to know about teacher’s attitudes for children and how to understand “knowledge”.  I have always been inspired by the many people I have met working at the adoption agency here in Canada. Of course, my husband and my daughter always inspire me a lot.
