Just like you, we are unique and we all bring important understanding to our work with children.
Living Language Institute Foundation (LLIF) strives through its Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program to provide quality ECE programs and workshops that develop skills appropriate to the wide variety of pedagogical settings experienced by both pre-service and in-service practitioners. Nature, Indigenous perspectives, International Baccalaureate and inquiry learning all figure into the ECE training curriculum.
Our goal is to equip early childhood professionals with the skills and training necessary to deliver high quality, developmentally appropriate early learning programs in order to apply for registration as a BC licensed early childhood educator.
The ECE Program is based on the belief that knowledge and understanding of early childhood education is best attained through participating in a supportive learning community. Throughout the entire program of studies, the course content is paced so as to enable students to observe and engage directly with children as they acquire theoretical knowledge. Each student is assigned a mentor.
The program is closely linked with an operational Creative Minds Early Learning Program and selected preschools.
